How was your weekend? I’m still in frantic-mode over here. Expect typos and incomplete sentences for the next two weeks while I attempt to print a fashion book + pull together a 200-person charity event (more on that here).
So…..is it too early to talk spring transition? Never! It’s the only thing that gets me through these dog days of winter (dog days? that can’t be right, what would you call the chilly equivalent of the dog days of summer??!!) Hmmm….anyway, this Trina Turk dress does in fact work for both seasons. Add fur and suede shoes now and then go bare arms (after peak gym months, it’s a no brainer) in the spring. I’ve had this fur shrug since last winter and found that it still exists online and is now on major sale. I’ve found a million different reasons to wear it; it’s great over party dresses and is also super fun with a graphic tee, jeans and pumps (blogged here).
As for the accessories, this rad minaudière clutch was one of my favorite gifts this Christmas. I actually don’t own a minaudière (can we talk please about how hard this word is to say and spell?!) so was beyond excited to receive such a chic piece that will certainly be a fan favorite for years to come. Thanks, T! And last but not least, the sunnies. I found these gems here and have tried them on every time I’m in the store. In spite of my sunglass hoarder tendencies, I actually struggle with sunglasses, I really do. I have a very small face so most sunglasses look super awkward on me. Almost every pair I try is too big for my face. Strangely enough, this oversized pair feels less awkward than most others I’ve tried, and they’re also the largest I’ve ever worn. Chalk it up as another of life’s unsolved mysteries. Insert tongue out emoji. Hope your Monday’s fast, productive and heavily caffeinated!
