Skip the stress this Christmas season. While dubbed the “most wonderful time of the year,” so many of us struggle to say sane in the midst of all the merriment. So, with less than a week before turkey time, here’s five links on how to stay sane this year:
keep exercising :: Don’t let a packed holiday schedule interfere with your exercise regiment. Run for 30 minutes! Though the time may seem more valuable spent otherwise, that half hour release will actually help you sort through the thoughts scrambling in your head.
heathy eating, boiled down :: Don’t get bogged down by “nevers, only and always” when it comes to dieting. Indulge in the items you actually crave during the Christmas season and pass on the rest. Read this researcher’s reasonable rules for healthy habits year-round to apply to the holidays.
soak up me time :: I straddle the introvert/extrovert spectrum, but I still think I tip slightly toward an introvert, so I’ll be sure to set aside time to recharge my social batteries between engagements. When I do, I’ll be diving into this book by Donald Miller.
party hardy :: But, while you’re at those festivities, make the most of ’em. After all, they only come once a year, so learn something from the people you love or better yet the strangers you’re meeting. See these tips for small talk.
three things :: And finally, three easy ways to just feel good so that these jolly, merry days actually feel that way. during the jolliest, merriest time of all.
