I’ve been on the hunt for a wedge sandal for the past two summers. I’ve purchased and changed my mind about multiple pair because no pair seemed to fit my long, non-negotiable list; neutral, comfortable, affordable, not too high (who has time for a broken ankle?!), versatile and of course CUTE. Then there have also been the few sunk costs for wedges that were either uncomfortable, too high or just didn’t work with very many outfits. The other day I decided to give it one more college try and committed an hour of shoe shopping at Nordstrom to the cause. I can’t remember the last time I’ve spent an hour shopping. I pretty much do everything online, from the comfort of my home office or bed these days and have to admit it was really fun being in the store again. The boxes of no’s added up quickly and I lost count at around 20 pair. And then the stars and moon aligned and the shoe gods led me to the perfect white wedge Steve Madden creation. They meet every single search criteria and then some. I’ve worn them with dresses, shorts and denim and so far I haven’t broken an ankle in them.

p.s. It’s that time again for Nordstrom’s half yearly sale. So many steals just went on sale including this Chloe bag, these Vince sandals that come in 4 colors and this Tory Burch off the shoulder dress.
