How to wear a skort? Well, it goes pretty much like any skirt, except skorts allow for cartwheels and windy spring days without any Marilyn moments. And chasing around kiddos with great ease. It seems that hemlines are getting higher and higher by the minute so to pull this off, flats are pretty much a requirement if you ask me. And if you don’t recall my constant inclination to mix my prints, there’s nothing more fun than a floral and stripe combo. Toss on a tried and true blazer to complete this look that’s perfect for brunch with the ladies, a baby shower or maybe even a hot date.

OH.MY.GOSH do I have the shoe steal of your life this Shoesday Tuesday. I’ve been stalking these designer ballet flats for a while and was over the moon when Topshop came out with almost the exact pair for waaay less. But by the time I put them on my blog they were already sold out. Well guess what, they just went back in stock and I have a feeling they will be gone before you can zip through an episode of the Bachelorette. I’ve worn mine non-stop and they are super comfy and easy to put on, which is a huge bonus for a lace up shoe. They also work for every season, these gems will be so cute with jeans or leggings in the fall. And they come in red and a rad a snake print. Is it wrong to have the same shoe in three colors?! If so, I don’t wanna be right.

Because you can never have too many stripes in your life…

I’ve really never met a stripe I didn’t like. Even better when I get to wear multiple stripes in one outfit. I think mixing stripes is super fun and unexpected, but looks totally put together when done right. With this look I decided to stick with the same color combo with a simple stripe on top and a bolder pattern on the bottom. This skirt is my favorite new summer staple. It’s so comfy and the tie front is super on trend. This skirt is easily dressed up or down and is a great non-traditional bathing suit cover up too. And what’s old is new again with this distressed denim jacket. I love mixing a more edgy piece with a girly tie front skirt. It would also look great over a maxi dress. Hey guys! I hope you had an awesome Memorial Day weekend! I wanted to share a photo that I posted on Instagram today with the shopping links. Side note, are we hanging out on Instagram yet? The bag is so versatile, I used it for the pool, as a diaper bag during the day and also wore it out to dinner last night. It’s lightweight and perfect for travel too. The earrings go with EVERYTHING in my closet right now. I love the pom pom detail and pop of neon. I haven’t worn statement earrings in a really long time but these earrings make a strong case for jumping back on the big earring wagon. Happy 4 day work week, guys!

Sometimes I find a closet staple that I’m so over the moon about I have to have it in every color. (this tee is the perfect example). Well this season it’s a print that I can’t have enough of in my life. It’s bold, to say the least. But I’m obsessed. I wore this Milly jacket a while back and the cropped version is now on sale. Black and white are my fave and the neon sunnies and oh so glam faces just seal the deal for me. I realize this print may not be for everyone, but if you’re game to go a little bit crazy this summer, now’s the time to dive in!

I’ve been on a mission to find a chambray dress but I’m pretty picky about my denim. And it has to be lightweight because nobody survives Houston summer in unbreathable fabric. I saw this dress and knew it had potential. And the fit is awesome. The tie front allows you to make it as loose or tight as you like and the length is perfectly perfect for heels or flats. You can dress this puppy up or down by only swapping out a few accessories too (these flats or these wedges + this bucket bag). This dress would also be a cute, non-traditional beach cover-up.
