I cannot believe that back to school is right around the corner. We have a big kindergartener in our house this year! Do you remember your kindergarten year? All I can remember from mine is finger painting. Ha! I’m so excited for my first born to head to her new school in a week. What I do remember from my school-age days is how much I LOVED shopping for school supplies! What fun it was to get a new trapper keeper (dating myself over here!), pencils, folders, and outfits for the new school year. Here are some L. Avenue’s back to school finds for your kiddos’ new school year.

As we have seen I am a big fan of statement accessories in particular any accessory from Mignonne Gavigan’s killer statement collection. Her designs are so unique and perfectly on point. I fell in love with this scarf from her Summer 2017 collection. Its bold summer colors are my jam. Pair it with a basic tee or this shirt and you’ve got an easy interesting ensemble.

Clichés are cliché for a reason, and sometimes, the same holds true for tourist traps. These restaurant ones are actually worth it.
I’m going to LA in two weekends to visit my friend Mimi who lives in Malibu. It was a last minute decision, but I’m so glad I made it. It will be a girl’s weekend through and through, and I can’t wait to kick off summer on the coast of California.
